Fold Prompter is provided by askVela Limited. This policy explains what happens with your data when you use the app.

The short version

Fold Prompter does not collect any data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The app does not connect to our servers or to any third-party service. Nothing you write, say or record leaves your iPhone through us.

Camera and microphone

The app uses the camera and microphone only to record your videos while you are on the recording screen. Finished recordings are saved directly to the Photos library on your iPhone.

Speech recognition

To let the script follow your voice, the app uses Apple’s speech recognition in on-device mode only. Your speech is processed on your iPhone and is not sent to Apple or to us. If on-device recognition is not available for a language, the script runs at a steady speed instead.

Photos

The app only asks for permission to add videos to your library. It cannot see or read your existing photos and videos.

Scripts and settings

Your scripts and settings are stored locally on your iPhone. They are removed when you delete the app. If you use iCloud Backup, they may be part of your device backup, which is handled by Apple.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details.

Children

Because the app collects no data, it also collects no data from children.
